Why the ledger must leave Earth
We have lost everything before. The Library of Alexandria held the knowledge of the ancient world in one building, and when it burned, that world went dark with it. Every archive humanity has kept since has been kept the same way: in one place, on one planet, one fire away from silence. The you.wiki ledger, the family trees, the real people, is built to survive us. So it cannot stay only here.
What flies
A full copy of everything: every page, every family tree, every confirmed connection. Sealed, so that nobody can ever rewrite it. Not a hacker. Not us.
How it flies
It rides along on the same rockets that carry small satellites today. They fly several times a year, and a copy of the whole archive fits in one hand. Nothing here is science fiction.
How often
About every six months, a fresh copy goes up. So the copy in the sky always stays close to the life being lived down here.
The manifest
The first voyage carries the first thousand. Every Eternal page holds a numbered Founding Seal, and seals № 1 to № 1,000 are the manifest of Voyage I: name by name, tree by tree, the first humans whose record leaves the planet. Your number is already waiting. Once the manifest fills, it is sealed forever, and the launch date is announced to everyone aboard.
And then further
Orbit is the first step, not the last. The whole proof of humanity fits on one drive, which means a copy can ride any vessel that leaves: to the Moon, to Mars, and one day beyond. Wherever people go, the list of who we were goes too. This is the class of vessel that carries it.
